Vintage Design
Wonderful Gabbiano table designed and made by Pierluigi Ghianda in the 70’s. The table is called “Gabbiano” for its innovative opening system. Thanks to the pin located in the center of the top, the table can easily close and open. Lifting the central pin activates the table’s closing mechanism, thanks to two conductors that activate the metal hinges. The table supports are designed so that, once the mechanism is activated, they can close like a wallet to facilitate the closing of the end of the table top. The structure is made of wood while its top is made of formica. The table is supported by 4 parallelepipeds joined together. Peculiarity of the table is its geometric rigor and executive perfection make this piece a practical object but at the same time elegant and modern.
