Two kneeling male figures, perhaps priests or disciples of the Buddha in carved white marble, believed to be Temple Sculpture. One with hands clasped in prayer, the other with arms down at the sides. Their robes are painted brown with gilt details and the faces with traces of gold and black paint on the delicate features. The bases with traces of coral or green paint. They are mounted on custom black marble bases.
Bases 9” deep x 17 1/4″ Wide by 21.5” High (One Figure) 20” High (Second Figure).
Condition: Acceptable and enhancing wear to all surfaces with losses and slight chips on the robes (Please see detail photos) with the Pair displaying exceptionally well.
