Small Sloping Desk, otherwise known as “donkey back”, in Pearwood, covered with inlays of fillets and patterns in Brass.
This piece of furniture opens with a flap whose facade is composed of brass rods around the edge, there are two nets slightly spaced. The interior of this frame is embellished by Arabesque motifs of foliage and flowers chiseled in Brass.
This furniture discovers an interior in Rosewood, with at the bottom three small Drawers blocked by a stop, surmounted by a Niche taking all the Width. The top has an elegant Red Leather with Gold Vignettes.
Underneath, a Drawer composed of two Nets in the perimeter, as well as Motifs in the center in the same taste as the flap. Their Locks are Original and their Keys have been adjusted.
The sides of the Desk, arranged in the same way as the front, present a Double-net following the shape of the furniture.
The upper part of this item is entirely protected in the corners by brass quarter round strips. This set is topped with an openwork gallery and displays the same double-threaded brass that makes the identity of this sloping desk.
It rests on four Turned Sheath legs composed of Grooves, in the top of which are elements in Brass. Rings of the same metal come to encircle the high and low part of these Uprights. The latter are connected by a Spacer with movements, to the central circular part.
The interior of the drawers is in Mahogany, and the flap can, once opened, rest on the drawer in Belt for more safety.
This Slope Desk, characterized by its Brass elements and its Blackened Wood that distinguish it from the Ordinary, will delight a person looking for a working space with an interesting volume and little space.
