Set of 6 New Scalamandre Upholstery C.1920 Louis XV-style Carved Fruitwood Dining Chairs Upcycled

Fully restored in new Scalamandre Bellegarde Ciel fabric, set of six antique 1920s Louis XV-style carved fruitwood dining chairs.

Two “captain” chairs have performance cotton velvet seats, with the patterned fabric on the inside and outside back of the chair. The other four have patterned seats and inside back of the chairs, with the same cotton velvet on the outside of the chair back. Color of the velvet was carefully matched to the color of the painted frame – it is Parisian Grey. The chairs would make a unique statement as kitchen or dining room chairs, adding a splash of color to traditional interiors, as well as accent chairs positioned on either side of an entrance console or a bedroom dresser as an example.

The design is unique to each chair, special care was given to the pattern placement to highlight the unique beauty of the fabric within the frame itself. Bright and cheerful heads of golden peonies against the cerulean blue sky will cheer up a formal sitting room, bedroom or a sunroom.

The chairs undergone full restoration process consisting of stripping off of the old fabric, removal of tacks and staples, reinforcement of frame joints, reinforcement of the seat base, replacement of worn-out padding, new upholstery fabric finished with the double gimp for a clean professional look.
