Vintage Design
Rare find! These beautiful original Danish dining chairs were designed by the well known Hans J Wegner. Produced by Carl Hansen & Søn. Model: CH 29. Country of origin: Denmark. This design classic is also called the ‘sawbuck’ chairs because the model resembles a sawhorse. This chair was traditionally used in Scandinavian countries by carpenters and lumberjacks. Originally designed in 1952 for Carl Hansen & Son. In the 1970s, this model was taken out of production. 20 years later, Wegner’s daughter proposed to put this chair back into production. The CH29 chair is to this day a popular model due to its simple construction, which offers great comfort and yet is visually a picture to look at! This unique set of 4 is the original ‘old’ model from the 60s. Still equipped with the original terracotta & brown leather seat. Given the age in a good vintage condition. The leather has some user marks but this gives a nice patina. Beautiful vintage design dining room chairs for the dining room table in the living room. A must have for the Danish design lover. We do love Danish design!
