Sloped desk / sloped secretary / donkey back secretary from the transitional period Louis XV, Louis XVI.
18th century work of very high quality.
The subtly arched legs typical of the Louis XV style support a straighter body dressed in Greek proper to the Louis XVI style.
Similarly, the flap is designed with beautiful curves associated with the Louis XV style.
Worked in double face, this secretary benefits from 5 external drawers, 4 internal and 1 secret compartment inside.
The shelf is adorned with its original fawn leather decorated with golden motifs.
Height of the shelf : 69 cm.
Dimensions of the shelf: 77 cm x 32 cm.
The rosewood is worked in symmetrical curling and is highlighted by the darker color of rosewood.
In addition, sycamore fillets, forming Louis XVI greeks, create a subtle and elegant border.
Finally, subtle chiseled and gilded bronzes, lock entries, uprights and shoes, come to dress this secretary.
Note the restoration of one of the legs (visible in photo) and the wood on the back has to be worked (visible in photo).
There is a decorative key for the abbatant, and a functional key for the drawers.
One lock is missing and another has been changed recently.
