A stunning and original ottoman. Made from a 19th century architectural stoneware capital. The top and a gray mohair buttoned and tufted. The top is easily removable should you wish to upholster it something different. Held on by four bolts with wing nuts on the underside . Architectural stoneware was used quite a bit in Europe in the 18th century and forward and in America and the 19th century and forward . If you’re looking for something that someone else doesn’t have this is it. The excellent height of 20 inches makes it perfect to use as a coffee table as well. Measurements are length of sides and height of the top but from corner to corner it measures 54 in. These architectural elements of the 19th century are difficult to find as they did not rot so most of them are still attached to the buildings to which they were applied.
