A George Jones Majolica Strawberry spoon, England, circa 1870.
In the Aesthetic taste and glazed on the white ground known as ‘Albino.’ The green leaf of the strawberry plant is molded on the bowl along with a pink rimmed strawberry blossom. The curved handle shows the stem of the leaf wrapped with a yellow ribbon. A pink strawberry blossom is molded on the handle terminate. The back of the bowl shows the raised mold work of a blossom against a leaf.
7.75 in. L with a bowl 2 in. W. The spoon sits 1.25 in. H
Extremely rare and in excellent antique condition, showing the expected light wear.
