This antique silver plated hot water kettle was made by the Meridian Company of the United States in approximately 1890 in the period Aesthetic Movement style. The kettle has an egg shaped design with towering squared legs and accenting handles with a stylized pineapple finial for a handle. The sides are ornately engraved with four panels of stylized flowers, possibly irises and the tops of the legs are accented with stylized faces. The kettle is clearly signed on the bottom with a maker’s mark for the Meridian Co. in a small cartouche. Please note we have the matching tea set posted separately should you wish to acquire additional pieces.
