20th-Century Carved Three-Drawer Spanish Walnut Console Table with Iron Hardware

This exquisitely carved mixed-wood three-drawer console table hails from the Provincial capital of Valladolid in the northern Spanish region of Castile-Leon. With deep lustrous patina over the entire surface, this early 20th century table features a single board 1″ thick chestnut top set over walnut drawers and skirt decorated on all three sides with large deeply carved acanthus leaves and geometrics, and supported by four generously proportioned fluted legs framed by thick floor stretchers. The drawers on this table also retain their original wrought iron pulls and lock plates.
