The iconic “Steltman” chair by Gerrit Rietveld, commissioned in both a left and right arm version (this is a left-arm) by sir Steltman, the jewellery-purveyor of the Dutch royal crown with his gallery in The Hague. This chair is often referred to as THE most architectural and dynamic-sculptural chair ever made. with its asymmetrical structure it looks excitingly different from every angle you can look at it. The chair is in the tradition of De Stijl (The Style, in English) of which Rietveld was an important component; geometric lines, abstraction, and the use of black, white and primary colors were the main characteristics. Several museums in the world, of which the Saint Louis Art Museum in the US, have a specimen of the chair. This is an unknown edition (definitely not a Spectrum re-edition) of the chair, it is very heavy and looks old, and it is exactly according the original measurements. A real iconic eye catcher in any design lover’s interior.
