Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati used to sit on Nandi and travel all-over the world and universe according to Hindu Vedas. If you visit a Shiv temple any where, you will always see Nandi statues outside the Buddhist temple.
There is an opening on the back of the cows to add the oil and use them for ceremonial purposes.
The Stand is carved with Hindu Gods figures and floral pattern.
