Molded in the classic Montereau octagonal with beading around the rim, the bowls themselves date to the 19th century.

Later overglaze paintings of allegorical figures (perhaps of life and love) in the Regency style appear in the well of each bowl. Some bowls also show an overglaze “made in France” on the back of the bowl.

Perfect for a wall grouping and display. Not ideally suited for use as a bowl as the overglazed painting is susceptible to damage by utensils.
